The Wakari Kindergarten received a grant to create a community garden. The garden has now been built and is producing food for the local kindergarten community. The children have been eagerly involved in planting, maintaining and harvesting food to share with others.

The kindergarten also purchased a worm farm, compost bins and children sized tools (gloves, rakes and spades). This new community garden area compliments an already established orchard providing food for children, families and wider community.
