Otepoti Dunedin Carrier Library were one of the recipients of our 2020 Dunedin 9012 grant round.

Ōtepoti Dunedin Carrier Library is a volunteer-run parenting organisation that shows parents and caregivers how to comfortably and safely carry babies and young children in carriers.

They also supply a library of carriers that can be hired for a small monthly fee. Carrying babies and young children has benefits including helping with bonding, providing comfort, soothing colic and reflux, and it is great for social and cognitive development, as the child is able to see more when they are up higher and tend to have more face to face interaction with other adults and their caregiver.
