Kaikorai Valley College were one of the grant recipients for the 2020 Dunedin 9011 grant round. 

They used their grant to take year 9 students to attend the “Failing Well, Learning Resilience” programme. The programme, presented by The Art of Learning, focused on what are considered the ‘soft skills’ for learning with a particular focus on resilience in learning.

The students were taught about ‘failing well’ which included acknowledging failures, taking responsibility for their own actions, working out what they did wrong and making changes.
